I hope next movie will come. One of the best military scenes ever made. So I was actually in 29 Palms when this movie came out. They showed it on base a week early in a theater full of other marines and we all frekin loved it. but I already know what Nick is probably going to say about the way the portrayed Raiders, like, yeah the choreography was good, and you feel a lot of professionalism off them, but idk man, raiders who mag dump and hit nothing. Take your service weapon out... Say it once. Say it again. Best extract every my brethren. Happy Easter and keep it real babies.

Would have been a better movie if the bad guys won.

I wanna watch the whole movie now. Nothing more to say except watch the original 1995 Heat. This is the type of movie I can watch 100 times. 8:22 who let Jared Letos joker on set? 🤣. Those who criticize Emily Blunt's character did not understand the movie. Her ingenuity is intentional. At the beginning you think that you'll see another movie about how a young woman can became a badass and then you realize that's she's just a sheep among wolves. The true hero in this movie is the Sicario (Benitio Del Toro) but you don't know that first.

No sound. Heat chinese copy. A police unit would be in trouble with any military unit, special forces community or not. Thank the lord that most military vets are pro law enforcement, or at least tolerate police. I wish we could train tactics more often but we cannot. Budget, time, and over working normal duties lead to lazy and untrained police. Some, who recognize the issue, work together in their free time but it still is not enough. I'm lucky to be in a small specialized unit so we do train together more then the rest of the department. A lot of guys show up to work and pray nothing happens while they are on duty. I can say this a pray I never end up in a situation against a trained unit of military guys because I'm in trouble. 10 plus years as LEO.

3:54 that plate carrier is obviously empty but ok. When he went from Curtis Jackson to 50 Cent I died 🤣🤣🤣. Suppressive fire Blasts cop in the forehead. This movie rated fairly high when I watched it (7.4. I can't help but think it will go down from here.
Having set my expectations high, I was all-in with the opening action sequence. Then someone started talking and all I could do is cringe at the pat dialogue and contrived characters.
It's a decent concept, even if a little derivative. The twists were clever, but not particularly satisfying. The plot holes were numerous and glaring.
Despite the tropey, heavy-handed and useless subplots, Gerard Butler's character was not relatable on any level and wholly unqualified for his position. His relationships were unsuccessful props to make him appear more complex.
I suspect the final cut of this movie was the manifestation of the filmmaker's worst fears of what it would become.
I have to admit that I didn't see the plot twist coming. But by then, I really didn't care.

This is a very interesting movie. borrowed from every heist movie ever made, the plot doesn't really matter. it's the actors who really shine here. who knew Gerald butler could act badass. Pablo Schreiber, o'shea Jackson, et al. everyone is just fine. go. relax. have a good time. this is really not a January movie. Damn, Thatcher be doing a lot to pay back the bar after he held a fight in it. In Mexico, police corruption is high, but not all officers are corrupt, people attack the Mexican army to defend criminals. For that it's very hard finish with the delincuence.

Another Heat rip-off? Yawn.
Actually, it was reasonably entertaining, if a bit far fetched. I would probably have given it another mark were it not for the one rather huge hole in the plot about 3/4 way through (see if you can spot it) however even that didn't really spoil the movie for me.
This isn't a film destined for cult status, but as piece of lightweight entertainment then it ticks all the boxes nicely. This is a modern Heat. I felt good about this movie. MASTERPIECE.
